Kua whai mana motuhake ngā kēmu ī-ātea ki te whakapanoni i ngā aronga whānui o te ao e kite ai e te rangatahi. Digital spaces have fundamentally changed the way in which rangatahi engage and view the world, these platforms shape the language they use, and how communicate and express themselves.
Te Papatipu Matihiko (TPM) is an innovative non-profit that seeks to transform the lives of taiohi and rangatahi across Aotearoa. Whether they are in classrooms or in the commuinity, in alternative education or their bedrooms. Our kauapapa is to create spaces of belonging where they can express themselves authentically and meaningfully. We support the community alongside eductors to develop the digital infrastructure needed to illuminate pathways. TPM also delivers professional learning and development (PLD) servicesas well as related educational programmes.
Te Papatipu Matihiko is a collective of Māori organisations, including Victory Up, Digital Natives Academy (Regional PLD Provider) and Ngāti Gaming. TPM offers programmes in both Te Reo Māori and English, providing a bilingual and fun approach to learning with a focus on digital technology which has a Mātauranga Māori foundation and takes on a Te Ao Māorfi world view, which inspires and empowers rangatahi to explore these fields.
“Mā tātou e arahi i ngā taiohi ki te torotoro tika i ngā wahanga o te ipurangi i raro i ngā tikanga whakaruruhou ā ō tātou mātua tūpuna.”
To date our Collective has physically worked with over 6000 taoihi and rangatahi
across 200 schools, alternative education providers and community to great success.
